About me
I'm Anna Dobrowolska, a Polish national living in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I'm a full time artist and also a full time mother.
I'm a freelance artist, with a passion for creating realistic miniature horse models and designing toys. I opened my studio, Horse and Bird, in 2012 and have been working on it ever since. I find inspiration in the beauty of all different kinds of equines, and I work directly from my observations in nature as much as possible. I mostly use my own photos and sketches as references in my 3D works. Each time I create a new model, I envision the horse's life story, background and character. One of my favorite aspects of creating realistic models is the necessity for constant learning. I love learning about equine anatomy, biomechanics, and body language, color genetics, breed histories, and almost any other horse related subject. Occasionally I sculpt non-equine animals too. EDUCATION AND MEMBERSHIP:
I have always been interested in art, especially painting and sculpting. That's why I decided on an education in Secondary Art School, and in 2012 I graduated Art Education with a specialization in Sculpture, at the University of Silesia in Cieszyn. I've been a member of equine artist group Paard Verzameld Collective since 2019 - PAARD VERZAMELD |
