Ijmuiden is just about 1 hour drive from the place I live. So I decided to go and see this event with one of my friends, and my son and my husband. We surely did not regret! We arrived about 5PM on Ijmuiden beach. The competition was supposed to start about 6PM but we had to wait longer because the competitors needed certain part of the beach to be under water, they waited for the surge. So we walked around and looked at fantastic Tinker horses. I was more then happy! They were really gorgeous: long manes, beautiful eyes, friendly faces - truly amazing creatures. We couldn't wait to see these horses in action. Finally around 7pm the sea level was high enough and the competition started. It was almost sunset so the lighting and the sky was also very beautiful. I think the photos and a short video will tell you more! :)
